First Introduced to Pern: When I was 13 yrs old I found Dragons Flight, Dragons Quest, and the White Dragon in my school's library. Picking them up I read through them and then proceded to read whatever I could that contained Pern.
First Introduced to Fandom: Around the time I read the books I googled "Dragonriders of Pern" and came upon the "Dragonriders of Pern Club" it was the first PBeM I'd ever seen.

First PBeM: FallenStars of Pern- FSOP was not actually my first PBeM but I claim it as my first because FSoP taught me that writing for Pern was FuN! I'd never met such friendly people in all of my short time in fandom as I found them when I was 14 years old. They lovingly shaped and helped mold my writing into what it is today. They weren't overly critical and through small comments helped you to be your own critic and improve your writing skills. I stayed at FSoP for two years until circumstances forced me to leave. I still have very fond memories of FSoP and the people there.

My PBeM: FireHeart Weyr- The name actually comes from "The Blue Sword" written by Robin McKinley. In it a character rides a horse who's name means "FireHeart", hence, the name of the club. It was between that or "SunGold"
